Heidi + Ceaser

I really enjoy and emphasis client meetings. By the end of a client meeting, I either have a connection with the client, or it's clear that we're not a good fit. Being a good fit for a couple, and their wedding, is very important to me. The connection I have with each of my couples is what makes their Wedding photos totally them and their style!

I met Heidi in my home office with her mom and we had an instant connection! It wasn't until the Engagement Session day that I met Ceaser. He is a Man of little words, but it obvious how much he cares for Heidi, and vice versa.  Their sweet unspoken language is translated into their photos.

Nicole + Chris

Nicole and Chris's engagement session is another great example of how I was pushed out of my comfort zone. I love me some sun flair and backlight, but Nicole and Chris gave me the challenge of an all indoor shoot! Their session was in early August in Florida, they made a good choice!

Together we decided on The Grand Floridian as our locations and I brought my amazing 2nd shooter, Jaime DiOrio, along to help. We started at The Villas at the Grand Floridian and I cheated a bit since I stopped them a lot on the walkway to the main building at the Grand. We still stayed covered the entire time and had minimal sticky weather exposure.

I'm happy with the turnout of this super fun session, but credit is due to this fun loving couple who could come up with jokes on the spot and acting like smiling and laughing for hours is natural and entertaining. I cannot wait to shoot Nicole and Chris's wedding in less than a month!

Nicole + Ben in Winter Park

About 6 months ago, I realized that I was getting comfortable with engagement sessions. I had several engagement sessions under my belt and I had all my favorite locations and poses. Our motto in our family, is "If it's easy, you're doing it wrong." Since then, I have made it a point to get out of my comfort zone.

Nicole and Ben took me to a new location. A place I was not familiar with. I wasn't going to be able to pull out those "easy" shots or locations, but to grow, you have to be uncomfortable.

Nicole and Ben have an obvious Love for each other and they were not afraid to show it. They share many of the same passions and have and unspoken language between each other. They are both so kind and can make anyone and everyone around them happy!

Occasionally, I get a groom at a consultation who wants to be a part of Wedding planning. Ben not only voices that desires, but truly acts on it and has a glowing excitement when talking about their Wedding. It is so obvious that these two will have a very happy lifelong marriage.

Day 3

Today marks Day 3 of my progress towards my goal to loose 20 lbs by the December (when I plan to do my 2nd promo video!) Today is also day 3 of me returning to blogging. It's been a good week!

I'm so grateful to my cute husband for telling me to go further and harder every workout day as we run to the gym, do weights, and run back home.

I'm starting my goal now since I have a short break from Weddings before a busy fall. It's a great time to get sore and build up mussel and endurance!

I'll take all the support I can get! Feel free to ask my how I'm doing, and if it's a Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, feel free to check in to see if I've done my exercise.

Kayla + Drew Engagements

Kayla and Drew met while attending the college program at DisneyWorld. Kayla set her eyes on Drew right away and made no hesitations taking his attention from anyone nearby. It was Kayla's talent for baking the sealed the deal, and they have been together ever since.

This ultra happy couple has made Florida their home, and Drew continues to work for Disney at Disney's Polynesian Resort. Just this year, Kayla and Drew introduced baby James into the world, and the family's happiness is undeniably contagious!

Bailey's Birth

This past Monday, I got a text from a friend asking me to shoot the birth of her baby girl! I was so excited, and so nervous! I've never been to a birth, I had no idea what was going on. Nikki's words comforted me when she told me that she liked my lifestyle/editorial look that I bring out in all of my sessions. I was sold!

Nikki went into the hospital on Friday, already at 4 centimeters, to be induced at 6am and have her baby girl. She was tested positive for strep, and had to push back the delivery by 4 hours. at 10:30, the midwife came in to hopefully induce. When measured, Nikki was already at 7 centimeters and going though contractions that Nikki couldn't even feel! Her labor had begun without her being induced, or even knowing!

Nikki waited until after noon to have the epidural, and shortly after, the Midwife broke her water. Nikki showed very little signs of discomfort throughout the entire process, and at 2:47pm, after only 3 quick pushes, perfectly healthy Bailey Grace Affleck was born!
